>Claremont Lake

Black-headed gull

An afternoon at Claremont Lake where to light gets really nice as sunset across the water. The seagulls provided good flight photography practise as usual.

Wood Ducks

First time I’ve ever seen a Wood Duck on the lake so I was quite pleased as they make fantastic subjects when they are a bit closer.

A number of Jackdaws nest in the trees around the lake each year along with a large number of Parakeets. The noise can be quite deafening at times from the latter.

These 2 Shelduck can usually be found sleeping on the island although they come to the lakes edge if a tasty morsel is offered.
